The Gallatin County Democrats are seeking an Executive Director with exceptional people, organizing, and communication skills.
Following the organization’s mission, goals, and Rules of the GCDCC, the Executive Director will be required to recruit, manage, engage, and motivate members and volunteers. Qualified candidates must possess strong management skills and be able to prioritize and execute on multiple, complex priorities. The Executive Director must work comfortably within and across cultures. He/she will be responsible to ensure fiscal accountability to the Central Committee, donors, and the Office of Political Practices with the help of the Treasurer, and will manage fundraising strategies drawing on existing networks and leveraging online fundraising campaigns.
Required Qualifications include:
- Demonstrated work experience with a clear and consistent record of leadership.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks while budgeting time and resources appropriately.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Perform well as a team in a highly visible organization while also working with a high degree of independence.
- Must be proficient at facilitating in-person and online meetings as well as managing online communications consistent with the mission of the Gallatin Democrats.
- Comfortable facilitating dialogue and support of complex issues with constituents, stakeholders, local, statewide and federal Montana campaigns.
- Strong writing skills in a variety of formats.
Preferred Qualifications Include:
- Experience with political and/or non-profit advocacy campaigns.
- Enthusiasm for training the next generation of political and advocacy leaders.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
