Join us Thursday, April 6 for an all-day jaunt to the Capitol at a very busy time for our Legislature. It’s an opportunity to see and thank our favorite people in person, to remind those who don’t represent our values that the hold on government they have at present may not last forever, and to thank the reasonable Republicans for particular votes they’ve made and urge them to vote well on the remaining bills affecting everyday people.
Meet up at the Albertson’s parking lot at the corner of I-90 and Jackrabbit Lane in Belgrade at 8:30 am. We will ride-share from there and have a little over an hour to enjoy conversation on the way up and back.
Here’s what to expect:
- Take a tour of the Capitol and orient ourselves
- Review the day’s schedule and decide which hearings to attend ( we can go together in a group or split up at this point)
- Meet up for lunch – some may want to pack a lunch, some may want to eat in the cafeteria in the Capitol (simple menu)
- Attend the Floor session of either the House or the Senate
- Listen in on the afternoon hearing or explore more of the Capitol
- Depart Helena at 4 pm to return to Belgrade at 5:30 or so.
Please RSVP here so that we can be in touch in case any questions come up prior to the event.
