Gianforte, Daines vs. Cooney, Bullock, Williams

What are Gianforte, Daines doing to help women?
This Big Sky headline, “Daines and Gianforte seeking ban of abortion bill,” raised my ire! What laws are our Montana congressmen and other Republicans in Congress putting in place to help women with unplanned or unwanted pregnancies? Where is a plan to medically support such pregnant women, pay the hospital costs of delivery, support mothers who must work (most women)
with free daycare for their children? Yes, life indeed is precious. As an Episcopal Christian I fully believe that all those little lives go directly to our loving God. And that our God has mercy on
those who make a decision not to bear her child to an unknown future on Earth.

Vote speaks more loudly than anything you say
My late father had a saying: “Your actions speak so loudly, I can’t hear what you say.” Politicians talk all day, but it’s their actions that count. Who protects our farmers and ranchers? Not Greg Gianforte, who supported Trump’s trade tariffs, crippling our agricultural families. However, Mike Cooney’s Growing MT Plan is consistent with his long history supporting those who feed us.
Is your health insurance through the Affordable Care Act? Steve Daines has voted to repeal the ACA with no proposed alternative to cover thousands of Montanans. But his opponent Steve Bullock got Medicaid Expansion passed –providing health care to 80,000 Montanans.
Who’s protecting our public lands? Not Matt Rosendale, who has advocated transferring public lands to the state where they’ll be sold into private hands. Kathleen Williams, however, has protected public lands for decades.
Skip the ads and tweets. The records of Gianforte, Daines and Rosendale show they won’t do what’s right for Montanans. You can send them packing by voting for Mike Cooney, Steve Bullock and
Kathleen Williams.

When did backing post office become political?
I grew up in a Republican household in N.J. and now live in Montana, just like Greg Gianforte. I don’t care where someone is from or what party they support. I do however care that a person has integrity, especially when representing me in government.
Supporting the USPS shouldn’t be political. Social Security checks, prescription refills and ballots go thru the mail to Democrats and Republicans alike.
Small businesses and corporations alike use the mail for necessary services. How did funding the USPS become a political football with Republicans standing in opposition?
Gianforte voted against funding the USPS when the House passed an emergency bill. He would not go against his party and do the right thing. Or maybe he thinks strangling the USPS will deter
voter turnout and help him win his race for governor.
While Gianforte voted against $25 billion of emergency funding for the USPS, he voted for $2 trillion of virus relief funding, much of which went to large corporations and wealthy special interests. That’s eighty times what the USPS needed. Unfortunately, this is consistent with Gianforte’s hypocritical actions of betraying hard-working Montanans. He is not fit to represent us as governor of Montana.
