Montana deserves an attorney general who will represent the people of Montana. Raph Graybill already has proven he will do this as evidenced by his time as chief legal counsel to Gov. Bullock. He’s gone to court to defend Bullock’s rules against dark money, and won. He knows the people, ordinary Montanans like you and me, need a lawyer who will work for their interest.
Graybill’s opponent, Austin Knudsen, clearly can’t and won’t do this. Knudsen has opposed rules against dark money and rules protecting access to public land. Even worse, he’s admitted his primary reason for running for office is to steer Montana into joining a suit to kill the Affordable Care Act. No one can argue the ACA is perfect, but it’s still the way over 150,000 Montanans currently get health insurance and it’s the way 80,000 Montanans get protection under Medicaid. Knudsen has vowed to do something that will hurt Montanans, not help them.
This election matters. We can pick someone to fight for the best interest of Montanans or someone whose goal is to do the opposite. Raph Graybill will make a strong attorney general who will be the “people’s lawyer,” something we need right now.
