How to Lobby the Montana Legislature

March 2, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

The Montana Legislature is in full swing, and it’s about to really shift into gear. This training is designed to help you navigate the MT Leg website and share your story when lobbying about an issue of concern to you.

Saturday, March 2
Reid Hall 124
Montana State University
(Parking is free on Saturdays)

Part 1: 10am-11am
How to use the Montana Legislature website (leg.mt.gov) to look up and track a bill.

Part 2: 11:15am-end
How to tell your personal story about an issue of concern to you. If you plan on attending this part, please come with 2 or 3 facts about your issue. For example, if you are concerned about the cost of college education, or access to healthcare, look up a few facts about other Montanans or Americans in similar situations.

The training may conclude prior to 3pm, but is dependent on attendees.

Bring your own lunch or money to contribute to takeout from Pickle Barrel.

Co-sponsored by the College Democrats at Montana State University.
